Colour wheel A is an art object made by hand mixing primary and secondary colours, a challenge for me as I usually mix much more unusual and nuanced palettes. The geometric precision was also an innovation in my practice which usually relies on organic lines and layering, whereas this work is minimalist and created in one layer.

Here in Spirit captures my girlfriend in a candid pose with references to our apartment in New York. During the pandemic we were unsure whether we would return, and as it transpires, we had to give up our home abroad and stay in Melbourne. It’s sad to leave without saying goodbye, so this work captures those fond and honest times where we both grew so much.
