‘Steel Life’ is a commentary on our digitised lives. It speaks to our ‘still’ lives that we live out through digital interfaces and to the digitisation process I use as an artist to create objects through computer-aided design. I have brought the forms back out of the digital realm and hand constructed them into perfectly imperfect forms. The objects became shadow casting structures passed onto Richard Blackwell to continue our conversation through objects and their images.
